Dear Jen,

I’ve taken a couple of days before getting back to you to thank you for making an exceptionally difficult day for me as good and as perfect as could be.

Nobody wants to say goodbye to their husband, but you helped me do that in the loveliest way possible and I want you to know I’m so very grateful.

I’ve received so many messages saying what a great service it was and you’ve been praised highly by all my family and so many friends.   Irish funerals can be quite austere occasions, but you made my husband’s service an uplifting and joyous one which brought smiles as well as tears.
